Our students are extremely excited to hear from you and see what your school is all about. Below, we’ve included all the
details for the day's event. Please take a few moments to carefully read over all the information and complete the
Google Form to confirm your attendance and join us for a day of connecting, learning and preparing for the future!
You will have an opportunity to meet over 150 art students from Lake Zurich and other area high schools like Mundelein,
Libertyville, Stevenson, Warren and the rest of the North Suburban Conference. Students will be asking for critical
feedback regarding their portfolios and looking to gather information about your school that may help them make those
important decisions in the very near future.
Presentation schedules will be emailed out once all colleges are confirmed.

What you’ll need to know for your visit...
 The event starts at 8:44am sharp.
 Please arrive between 7:45 – 8:15am in order to navigate through our campus and get set up for the day.
Remember, we have over 20 colleges attending this event as well as 2000 students being dropped off for school
 You can park on our campus in the visitor (limited spaces) or student lots near the baseball fields.
 Check in at the Security Booth located near the circle drive, just steps from the Visitors lot.
 Have a valid ID ready for Security so they can check you in quickly (Security takes a few minutes, so please allow
yourself enough time)
 You’ll be greeted by an LZHS representative, provided with a schedule and directed to your space for the day.
 Wi-Fi will be available from our guest network throughout the day, but you may want to bring a backup hotspot.
 A box lunch will be provided for you to eat during the event. Please let us know of your preference via the
Google Form (linked above).
Schedule for the day's event:
 Each school will have 3 separate presentation opportunities throughout the day.
 Presentations will be 7-10 minutes with 3-5 minutes for Q&A as the next presenter gets ready.
o There will be a timer keeping time for you so we can remain on schedule for the day.
 We will have an LCD Projector available, but limited quantities of adaptors so come prepared with what you
need connect to a standard VGA cable. We also recommend everyone put their presentation on a flash drive
 All presentations should be a dynamic “commercial” that highlights and emphasizes what students should know
most about your school, programs, campus, housing, etc.
 Each school will also have 3 opportunities to meet one-on-one with students throughout the day to conduct
portfolio reviews and engage deeper about opportunities available at your school
 Each school will have a 6-foot table w/ chairs to set up all of your materials
 We are asking each school to bring 2-3 small “swag bags” which we will raffle off at the end of the day.
o Stickers, bumper stickers, t-shirts, pennants, bags, sketchbooks, pens/pencils, etc.

Students will...
 Come prepared with questions for the individual schools about admissions, scholarships, deadlines, etc.
 Provide informational cards for each school visited for future contact and follow-up
 Come prepared with their portfolios containing a selection of work for review
 Take notes on college portfolio reviewers feedback and recommendations
 Be attending from various grade levels, so remember some portfolios may not be as developed as others.
