4. How Are students prepping their portfolios for review?
We are encouraging students to submit 5-25 pieces for portfolio reviews. We will encourage teachers to review their portfolios before with them before they submit. ArtconnectED will also be encouraging students to pre-submit their portfolios to you so you have it ready for their meeting as well as reach out to you via email to schedule a portfolio review. If a student schedules with you via Calendly, PLEASE confirm with them via email.
4. Set up your mini portfolio day portfolio review session
College reps will be responsible for scheduling their own portfolio reviews, but we will market the portfolio reviews and encourage students to sign up for them as part of the event. Some options for how to schedule appointments are to make a google doc or use Calendly. Here's an "example", but create whatever you want (please try to stay away from just "email college rep". Students might get overwhelmed by the ambiguity of that, and showing them more specific time slots will encourage them to sign up for an actual time slot)!
QUESTION: Will you allow students to sign up for "day of" portfolio reviews at Mini Portfolio Day? It's your call for how to do this.
5. How are you going to help me connect with students?
-
We will have both students and teachers register for the event
-
For the students/teachers that signed off on sharing their emails, we will allow you to access that after the event
-
-
We will be sending teachers THIS WEBSITE LINK and an introductory video to the event encouraging their participation. We are encouraging teachers to help students prepare their portfolios, how to send an email to a college rep, and how to sign up for sessions throughout the day.
-
We will be sending students/parents THIS WEBSITE LINK. We are encouraging students to register, attend, prepare their portfolios, send it to colleges beforehand, research the school, and beginning to build relationships with college reps.
